Oases of peace

Gardens and parks

Besides its beautiful natural landscapes, the Bergisches Land region also boasts numerous man-made green oases. Many gardens and parks invite you to take a stroll in the heart of a town. Here you can find peace, relaxation, and refreshment, or perhaps even fun and games. Some of these gardens feature artworks or meditative elements. Parks often include large playgrounds, sports facilities, or miniature golf courses.  

As part of the "Bergische Gartentour" (Bergisch Garden Tour), numerous private gardens open their gates in June and September each year and look forward to welcoming curious and interested visitors.
