Bergisches Wanderland

With the "Bergischer Weg" and the "Bergischer Panoramasteig" There are two long-distance hiking trails certified as "Quality Trail Wanderable Germany" by the German Hiking Association. Choose one or more stages, or combine them. Connecting trails allow you to extend your hiking holiday from here to the Natursteig Sieg, the Rheinsteig, the Neanderland STEIG, or the Sauerland High Trail. The Bergisches Land hiking region also includes numerous themed trails. "Bergische Streifzüge"These trails, of varying lengths, bring historical, natural history, technical, and literary themes to life. Information panels and interactive audio stations along the way ensure plenty of variety for hikers. Our "Bergisches Wanderland" hosts are ideal destinations for an overnight stay or a stop for refreshments.

Hiking in the Bergisches Land

In total, there are over 4.000 kilometers of marked hiking trails in the Bergisches Land region, making it ideal for exploring and discovering the area on foot. From short strolls and half-day hikes to more challenging full-day tours, there's something suitable for every ability and fitness level. On specially designed themed trails, you can discover cultural, historical, or natural topics alongside the landscape and nature. Enjoy fantastic views, unwind, and discover the region along the way. Bergische Wanderwochen - The hiking

The Bergische Wanderwochen (Bergisch Hiking Weeks) offer a diverse program with short, long, and family-friendly hikes focusing on topics such as culinary delights, herbs, health, and sustainability. All hikes are led by expert hiking guides or tour guides.
