My passions are hiking and the forest, and I love roaming the woods of the Bergisches Land region with our Beagle, Sally. Complemented by my volunteer work in nature conservation, it is particularly important to me to inspire people of all ages with a love of nature and, above all, with the beauty and diversity of the Bergisches Land. For over 20 years now, I have been offering guided hikes of varying lengths in the Bergisches Land, and since 2011, I have also been leading tours for "Das Bergische" as part of the Bergisches Land Hiking Weeks.
My guided hikes range from two-hour after-work strolls to multi-day tours, exploring the Bergisches Land region and pilgrimage routes, as well as venturing off the beaten path. They cater to different age groups, offering leisurely walks and hikes for the soul, and sometimes collaborating with partners for herb, mushroom, or historical tours. My focus isn't on covering as many kilometers as possible, but rather on connecting with others while hiking, recharging for everyday life, and experiencing nature with all your senses. Therefore, my hikes are generally manageable even without a high level of fitness. We'll tackle any longer climbs typical of the low mountain range landscape together. And most of the time, a magnificent view more than compensates for the effort of the ascent.
I mainly travel in the northern part of the Bergisches Land region, around Radevormwald and Hückeswagen (Wiebachtal, Wuppersperre, Bever) in Wuppertal (Beyenburg, Marscheid, Burgholz), Velbert and Sprockhövel (Elfringhauser Schweiz, Felderbachtal), but of course I will also come to your preferred hiking region.
