Lindlar

Nature experience in the heart of the Bergisches Land region

Lindlar

Adventurous Lindlar for young and old.
Around 30 km Located a short distance from Cologne is our "stone-rich" Lindlar, which is characterized by the greywacke that is quarried there. This type of rock has been extracted and processed in the quarries for over 1000 years.
Go fossil hunting with our certified guides and discover petrified remains millions of years old. Or experience the quarries by hiking along our Stonemason's Trail. Nature lovers will also find a vast network of enchanting themed hiking trails, such as the "Legend Trail" or the "Song Trail," which lead past not only local flora and fauna but also historical highlights. In addition to the LVRThe open-air museum, which offers insights into life in the Bergisches Land region over 100 years ago, is located at :metabolon. Here you'll find Germany's longest double slide and can learn all about the latest environmental technologies. A newly built climbing and bouldering hall promises fun for the whole family. More than 500 beds are available in hotels, holiday apartments, hostels, and campsites. Short-term visitors will also find campervan pitches. Lindlar warmly welcomes its guests.
