Circular hike starting from Bergisch Gladbach - Frankenforst.
On our walk through the Königsforst forest, we listen to the birdsong and delight in the first signs of spring. During a guided tour at the Steinhaus forester's lodge, we will learn firsthand about climate change in the Königsforst and worldwide, and what steps everyone can take to live more sustainably.

  • Route length: 10 km, ascent 150 m, descent 150 m 
  • Duration: 7 hours, of which 3 hours are pure walking time.
  • Meeting point: Bergisch Gladbach-Frankenforst, BASt parking lot, Brüderstraße 53 (Information on how to get there can be found below)
  • Guided tour: Burkhard Schlegel, Wanderfreunde Bergisches Land eV, guided tour by forestry engineer and forest educator Martin Barth at the Steinhaus forester's lodge
  • Price: Adults and children aged 10 and over €8,50
  • Registration required: yes, by April 23, 2026, 8 p.m., minimum 10, maximum 24 people
  • Refreshments: Stop for a break at the café at the Steinhaus forester's lodge
  • Equipment: Drinks for breaks
  • Public transport: 10:27 Bergisch Gladbach S-Bahn station, bus 452, arriving at 10:58 at the Mozartstr. stop, plus 800 m (11 min.) walk
