The Gruffalo - Cologne Puppet Theatre
The puppeteer Andreas Blaschke from the Cologne Puppet Theatre performs the exciting story.
Deep in a forest lives a little mouse. One day, the mouse is especially hungry and sets off into the woods to look for nuts. Little does she know that there are other animals in the forest who are just as hungry as she is and would love to eat her. But the mouse is clever and knows how to get what she wants. When she meets the cunning fox, she simply invents a friend: the Gruffalo – a monster with fiery eyes, terrible claws, a ghastly paw, and a poisonous wart on his face – and "fox skewer" is his favorite dish. When the fox hears this, he gets scared and flees from the little mouse. The same thing happens with the owl and the snake. Luckily, the monster doesn't really exist, because the mouse just made him up. But the clever little mouse isn't intimidated and even teaches the big, strong Gruffalo a lesson in fear.
