Cathedral view and Dhünn

From Wermelskirchen we first cycle on the Bergisches Panorama Cycle Route and side roads to "Cathedral view" above Wipperfürth-HämmernOn a clear day, the spires of Cologne Cathedral are visible in the distance. We continue our journey with impressive views of the Oberbergische landscape. Ober-/Niederburghof and Boxberg into the valley of the little river Great Dhünn down. In the valley we drive past the Neumühle to the Große Dhünn damWe follow a forest road to Große Dhünn dam, pre-dam and enjoy the magnificent view of the Große Dhünn reservoir. A forest path leads us to Unterberg, where the so-called... ":aqualon-Runde" of the Bergisches Trassen-Trio branches off. After a short stop at the picnic area with its beautiful view. View of the Große Dhünn Dam We drive down a steep gravel road to the dam pre-dam "Kleine Dhünn". The route then climbs steeply uphill again on a gravel path to Kleine Ledder. 

The route leads back to Wermelskirchen via Grunewald and Emminghausen, past the Neue Mühle (New Mill).

• Additional information: The tour follows former railway lines, cycle paths, quiet side roads, and forest tracks (gravel, possibly slightly muddy in places after rain). Due to the inclines and the partially unpaved surface, this tour is classified as difficult, but is easily manageable for reasonably experienced e-bike riders and e-bikes with sufficient battery capacity. A leisurely pace is recommended!
