Many moorland habitats in the Lohmar Forest have been drained. To stop the drainage, we are building barriers in the drainage ditches. Together, we will construct sheet pile walls, cover them with soil, and plant vegetation. During the event, you will learn interesting facts about the moors of the Bergische Heideterrasse (Bergisch Heath Terrace) and understand why they can protect us from climate change.

- Meeting point: Lohmar Forest. The exact location is within the forest and will be announced before the event. The starting point is a 9-minute bus ride and a 15-minute walk from Siegburg train station. Parking is available at the edge of the forest.

- Price: Free
- Registration is required: yes, possible up to three days in advance. However, places fill up quickly.
- Number of participants: max. 15
- Food: Packed lunch
- Equipment: Rubber boots, clothes that can get dirty, your own gloves, and possibly hearing protection due to loud hammering. Further information will be provided after registration.
