Marienheide: On the Way of St. James from Marienheide via Kümmeler Kreuz to Gimborn Castle

Hike
Guided hike as part of the Bergische Wanderwochen (Bergisch Hiking Weeks)
From Gimborn Castle, we hike partly through a nature reserve in the beautiful Oberbergisches Land region. The trail continues through the village of Dürholzen, past the hamlet of Winkel, to Oberwette. From here, it's not far to Marienheide. Here we take a break and visit some historical sites. Afterwards, we continue for a longer stretch along the Way of St. James, with magnificent views of the Bergisches Land, until we reach the Kümmeler Kreuz (Kümmel Cross).
Here we leave the pilgrimage route, passing the Kümmel forester's lodge, and take the turnoff back to Gimborn Castle.
