Mushroom seminar for beginners

This one-day seminar will introduce you to common edible mushrooms and their poisonous look-alikes. First, in the seminar room, you'll gain an insight into the fascinating world of fungi, their life cycle, and their importance to the environment. We'll discuss how and where mushrooms may be collected, which edible mushrooms are easy to identify, and which poisonous look-alikes exist. After a lunch break (please bring your own food), we'll go on an excursion into the forest and put the theoretical knowledge into practice. You'll search for, identify, and classify mushrooms on site. This introductory seminar is a great introduction to mycology; no prior knowledge is required.
