After a five-month winter break, the Engelskirchen Industrial Museum will reopen its doors on Sunday, March 29th.
Lots going on at the season opening at the Ermen & Engels power plant!
Throughout the entire opening hours of 11am to 18pm can families participate Detective Rally Join us! Visitors of all ages become detectives, investigating electricity and energy. How can energy be generated, and what happens to water when global temperatures rise? At numerous interactive stations, visitors can explore renewable energies firsthand. There's plenty for children and adults to discover. Plus, they'll get hands-on experience building a large [structure/project/etc.]. chain reaction Inventors will be in their element. Using gears, building blocks, belts, and rollers, visitors can construct a large obstacle course across different levels of the exhibition space. The domino effect allows a movement to be passed along to the end. If everything works, the course ends with a bang.
In the Temporary exhibition “Work[T]remains” Everything revolves around the future of work – what will it look like? A four-day week or a full-time job? Home office, business trips, or even remote work from abroad? Manual screwdriver or AI-controlled robot arm? Who decides how we work, and what is the purpose of our work? In "Work[D]reas," visitors won't find a comprehensive academic narrative, but rather a future lab for thinking along, discussing, and shaping the future. Here, there's space to develop ideas, explore topics, and explore different perspectives: Six interactive workspaces offer numerous opportunities to contribute, share your opinions, and exchange ideas with others. Small activities encourage visitors to reflect on their own wishes for the future of work and discuss them with the museum's guide. 1213: 30 and 15: 30 clock finding Introductions into the exhibition.
Within the Participatory rally 11am to 18pm Embark on an exciting family tour through the exhibition. At interactive stations, you'll discover professions of the past, present, and future. Together, you'll solve puzzles about computers, codes, and AI, try out games, and design the workplace of the future. A small reward awaits you at the end!
And around 15 pm The visitors embark on a journey Sensory guidance through the power plant. What did the power plant smell like in the past? What did the spinning machines and turbines sound like? And what does cotton feel like before it's spun? You'll learn all this and more on this inclusive tour, which is conducted in simple language. And maybe you can even taste the power plant?
