From November 19th to December 23rd, 2026, Konrad-Adenauer-Platz will once again host the Bergisch Gladbach Christmas Market. With its 57 stalls, the Christmas market is the largest in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis and Oberbergischer Kreis districts, transforming the city center into a pre-Christmas shopping paradise. The market will be closed on November 22.11nd (Remembrance Sunday).
Numerous lights – naturally using energy-saving LEDs – adorn the entire market square with its lovingly decorated stalls. St. Lawrence Church, the historic town hall, and the Bergisch Lion statue provide a dignified setting for the Christmas market. For many visitors, it is perhaps so appealing because it is more intimate than other markets in major cities and offers a delightful supporting program. For example, on many days, the Christmas market stage features live music of various genres and entertainment from interesting artists.
2026 brings many exciting new features: Making its debut is a stall with ceramic graters for ginger, garlic, or cheese, as well as handcrafted kitchen utensils made of olive wood, such as salad servers, mortars, coasters, bowls, and cutting or serving boards. Also new are the gin and liqueur distillery Craft Circus, a leather goods stall, and a stall with perfumes, jewelry, soft toys, and cozy socks. Our culinary novelty this year is "Hot Sheep's Cheese in Flatbread."
