Guided hike as part of the Bergische Wanderwochen (Bergisch Hiking Weeks)

The guided hike partly follows the paths of trail no. 3.Homeland Trail"The tour leads through the old town of Wipperfürth, along the Wupper River, through meadows and forests to the Neye Dam, showcasing what is typical of the Bergisches Land region. City guide Stefan Brunsbach will discuss the development of the oldest town in the Bergisches Land from the Middle Ages to the present day, explain the importance of the Wupper River and the dams, and share some anecdotes."

Tour type: guided hike with historical explanations and anecdotes
Target group: Adults, suitable for children aged 8 and over.
Route length: approx. 11 km
Duration: approx. 3-4 hours, optional stop for refreshments afterwards
Meeting point: Market fountain in front of the town hall, Marktplatz 1, 51688 Wipperfürth (this is where the hike begins and ends)

Price: free
Registration required: yes, minimum 2, maximum 20 people
Food and drink: Stopping for refreshments is optional; food and drinks consumed during the stop must be paid for by the customer.
Equipment: weather-appropriate clothing and footwear, possibly a backpack for snacks and refreshments
Additional information: After returning to the market square, there is an opportunity to stop for refreshments (participation is optional, costs are to be borne by the participants). The route is not suitable for strollers or wheelchairs.
