Rusticus Farm Café - Hielscher Farm Dairy
The Rusticus farm café enjoys an idyllic location in Witzhelden near Leichlingen. In a lovingly restored half-timbered house typical of the Bergisches Land region, regional specialties can be enjoyed in a particularly authentic setting. In summer, the beer garden offers a cool refreshment with a view of the lush green meadows, while in winter, guests can cozy up inside and enjoy waffles and cakes or savory dishes. Rusticus prepares its dishes, whenever possible, with products from its own farm, the Hielscher Hof. The farm shop tempts visitors with cheeses from the on-site dairy and other regional delicacies. The popular Rusticus bread is available in the farm shop on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Furthermore, the restaurant serves a breakfast buffet on Sundays between 9:00 and 11:30 am. A wide variety of delicacies are available: rustic bread, rolls, various types of sausage such as salami, raw and cooked ham, a selection of cheeses from the on-site dairy, homemade yogurt, quark and cream cheese, scrambled eggs, fried bacon, small sausages, jam, chocolate spread, butter, honey, cucumbers, tomatoes, as well as muesli, fruit salad, and granola. Brewed coffee and still water are included. All other beverages are charged separately.
