The book mill
Located directly adjacent to a park with the Strunder Bach stream. Easily accessible by bus/train and with public parking right outside, it's an ideal starting point for excursions and hikes.
A green corridor through the city along the Strunde leads from here once into the Bergisches Land region towards the Paper Museum and Herrenstrunden, the source of the stream which once employed up to 36 mills, and once through the city past the sights towards Cologne where the Strunde flows into the Rhine.
As one of the oldest buildings in the city and part of a former manor farm, it is one of the nuclei of Bergisch Gladbach. The monument has been lovingly restored and offers many successful details of historically sensitive renovation as well as successful contrasts with modern architecture.
In the interplay of historical warmth from wood/clay construction and open glass/steel architecture, event spaces for private and corporate celebrations can be booked here.
Under the motto "Space for beautiful moments", weddings, birthdays, meetings, workshops, and presentations take place here.
The rooms can also be booked for hiking groups who would like to enjoy a traditional Bergisches Land coffee and cake spread or other culinary delights. Lovingly homemade jams, chutneys, dips, flavored salts, and vinegars are available in decorative, eco-friendly packaging as gifts, or you can take away Bergisches Land dishes in glass jars – all delicious and healthy.
