Gourmet Workshop Lieberhausen
The culinary workshop is located in the idyllic village of Lieberhausen, surrounded by forests and waterways. It is an ideal base for many excursions and hikes in the Bergisches Land region.
The business is a hotel and restaurant with its own village shop, where sustainable and high-quality products directly from the farm are sold, e.g. homemade sausages, chutneys, oils and other delicacies.
As a charming country hotel, the Genusswerkstatt Lieberhausen offers a place of peace and relaxation. Guests can choose from a single room, several double rooms, and four spacious holiday apartments, each accommodating up to three people. The latter include a private kitchen and living area – ideal for guests seeking more independence.
Extra beds are available for children up to 12 years old. Dogs are also welcome upon prior arrangement and for an additional fee.
At the Lieberhausen Culinary Workshop, guests can enjoy delicious regional specialties prepared according to traditional recipes using local ingredients – served in a lovingly designed, inviting atmosphere. Particular emphasis is placed on regionality to keep typical Bergisches Land dishes alive.
Bergische Kaffeetafel
A special offering is the popular Bergische Kaffeetafel (coffee and cake spread), available on Saturdays and Sundays, and for groups also on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays. This can be booked for groups of four or more and only with advance reservation.
All products on the coffee table are exclusively regional and/or homemade, such as the sausage specialties, fruit spreads and pickled vegetables/onions.
The house-made Lieberhäuser pancake - as high as a cream cake - can be ordered as an accompaniment to the coffee table.
These products can also be purchased for home use at the village shop.
Bergische Abendtafel
Furthermore, the Genusswerkstatt Lieberhausen offers a Bergische Abendtafel (Bergisch evening meal) with a selection of typical Bergisch dishes, also regional and/or homemade. Bookable for groups of 6 or more, advance reservation required.
