The Hotel Wißkirchen in Altenberg has foundations dating back to the 18th century. Before being used as a restaurant, the building housed a brickyard and a sawmill at various times. As recently as the 50s, it served as the post office. This historic building is located in the heart of the Bergisches Land region, very close to Altenberg Cathedral and the Dhünn Dam.
The hotel's modern, Bergisches Land-style country-style cuisine offers something for everyone! The two dining rooms and the large terrace invite you to enjoy regional and international cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere.

A particular specialty is the Bergische Kaffeetafel (coffee table):
Number of persons: 2 persons
Price per person: from €19,00
As of March 2020, subject to change

The hotel features 11 stylish and comfortable double rooms in a renovated half-timbered house typical of the Bergisches Land region. The facilities are suitable for conferences, seminars, and private celebrations of all kinds. The idyllic location is perfect for a stroll or hike in the Bergisches Land countryside. The cities of Cologne and Düsseldorf are easily accessible by car.

The Hotel Wißkirchen will gladly create a supporting program: e.g. a covered wagon or farm tour, a cathedral tour with organ concert or guided hikes and bike tours.

Information about the farm tour
A wagon tour to various farms in the region? The farm tour makes it possible! Participants are introduced to the agricultural landscape of the Bergisches Land region. The wagon takes you to different farms in the area, which you can visit. This can also be combined with a guided hike. Visits include a cheese dairy, a goat farm, an ostrich farm, a dairy farm (with the opportunity to milk a cow by hand), a Christmas tree plantation (where you can even cut down your own tree), and much more.
Group size: max. 24 people per vehicle
Duration: 2-6 hours
Dates, prices and the exact duration vary depending on the tour and can be requested from the hotel.

A BELKAW charging station for e-bikes is available.

Between March and October, you can also easily reach the Hotel Wißkirchen by taking the Bergisch Hiking Bus .
