Youth Education Center Haus Altenberg

Founded in 1922 by Prelate Carl Mosterts, Haus Altenberg became, under his successor Prelate Ludwig Wolker, the center of the Catholic youth movement in Germany, the home of the Catholic German Young Men's Association and the Federation of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ). Here, young people met and continue to meet for reflection, exchange, and a vibrant experience of a young Church. Today, Haus Altenberg is a youth education center in the Archdiocese of Cologne.

Between March and October, you can also easily combine the Haus Altenberg youth education center with the Bergisch Hiking Bus .

It is a place of encounter, where faith can come alive and community can be experienced. Many groups and associations of the Catholic Church regularly hold their conferences, events, and courses here.

The Haus Altenberg youth education center has undergone extensive renovation and reconstruction over several years. It now offers a comprehensive range of services for youth and adult groups in modern, comfortable, and well-equipped conference rooms in an idyllic setting.
