Viewpoint: The Wall

Viewpoint/lookout tower
The viewpoint "Die Mauer" (The Wall) is part of the never-completed Adolf Hitler School. The plans for its construction were drawn up by Robert Ley. As Reich Organization Leader of the NSDAP and head of the "German Labor Front," Ley, who came from Niederbreidenbach (municipality of Nümbrecht), was one of the leading figures of the Nazi regime.

The only remaining structure from these megalomaniacal plans is the wall, which today bears the inscription "Never again war!" as a symbol of the desire for peace. It is located on the outskirts of town behind the cemetery. From here, there is a beautiful panoramic view of Waldbröl and the surrounding area.
