Fantastic view from the forest sofa towards the south/southwest towards the Siebengebirge hills.

The "Schöne Aussicht" (Beautiful View) viewpoint can be reached from the parking lot at Großer Heckberg (Heckhaus/Heckberg) via hiking trails A3, X22, and the pilgrimage route (Elisabethpfad) (on a wide, paved path). After approximately 150 meters, a small wooden sign points the way to the right towards the edge of the forest. A bench and a forest sofa await you there, perfect for resting, picnicking, and enjoying the view.

The e-bike route "On Hunter's Paths" and the Much cycling tour "Sporty Borderland Tour" pass by this viewpoint.

Only about 2,5 kilometers away is another great viewpoint: From Kleinen Heckberg From Federath, there is a 180° panorama to the west, encompassing the Rhine plain from Remscheid to the Siebengebirge hills. Those who look closely can even spot the two spires of Cologne Cathedral on the horizon.
