"Auf dem Knollen" observation tower
The idea of building an observation tower in Bergneustadt originated as early as the 50s. However, the tower was not opened until March 1982.
The site is located at an altitude of 447 meters above sea level; the tower itself is approximately 30 meters high and has a viewing platform at a height of 26 meters. In clear weather, the observation tower offers views as far as the Rhine plain to the west, the Ebbe Mountains to the northeast, and the Westerwald region to the south.

Arrival & Parking
You can park on the street "Schöne Aussicht" in Bergneustadt-Hackenberg, from there a dirt road leads to the tower (approx. 15 minutes), simply continue along the street "Zum Beul", you can then see the tower.
