With the help of six interactive learning and activity stations, visitors discover fascinating and interesting facts about the nature of the Bergisches Land forest and the role humans play in it. Younger visitors are also catered for! This knowledge is presented in a playful way for them.

The exhibition comprises the following 6 stations:
  • From primeval forest to managed forest: Here you can learn about the different types of forest.
  • The tree is both dead and alive. Here you can find out what's going on under the bark of deadwood trunks.
  • The forest never sleeps! We'll show you which animals are more active during the day and which are more active at night, because there's always something going on in the forest.
  • Living from the forest. Who can live off the wood from our forests? Find out why the wood from our forests is such an exceptional raw material.
  • Beware of coppice regrowth! The Bergisches Land region was shaped by coppicing in the 19th century. Find out exactly what that is here.
  • Landscape change. This illustrates the transformations of the Bergisches Land region over the centuries.
Besides the treetop walkway, there's even more to experience here. Panarbora offers archery, a scavenger hunt, and all sorts of crafts. Further information.
