Bergisches Grauwacke Museum
The exhibition offers a fascinating journey through the 390-million-year-old history of the Bergisches Land greywacke and its significance for Lindlar and its inhabitants. Photos, exhibits, and video and audio presentations make the visit an experience for fossil enthusiasts of all ages. The highlight of the exhibition is the fossil of the "Oldest Forest in the World," discovered by geologists in Lindlar in 2008. For an even more immersive experience, individual guided tours of the Greywacke Museum, as well as fossil hunting and quarry tours in a Lindlar quarry, are also available.
