ATTENTION! Due to electrical problems, the museum will unfortunately remain closed until further notice.

The museum grounds focus on old craft techniques and the history of regional ore mining.
This former local history museum was founded in 1928 through a citizens' initiative. Today, the museum, centrally located in the heart of Bensberg, promises fun for the whole family. The historic turreted house contains countless exhibits that show how people lived and worked in the region around 150 years ago. A show mine can be explored in the cellar. The open-air grounds house historic workshops in half-timbered buildings, including a water-powered hammer mill and much more.

The museum offers a diverse program of events, workshops, and guided tours throughout the year. From April to November, craft demonstrations take place every Sunday. Here you will find... Information about the program.
