For people, nature and landscape in the Bergisches Land
The Biological Station Rhein-Berg eV began its work in 2012. It is located in the premises at Turmhof in Rösrath.

The tasks of the Rhein-Berg Biological Station include promoting nature conservation and landscape management, environmental and species protection, and environmental education in the Rheinisch-Bergischer Kreis district. They work closely with the district's Lower Nature Conservation Authority, volunteer nature conservation groups, the agricultural and forestry sectors, and other individuals and associations active in nature and landscape management.

Another area of responsibility is public relations and environmental education. Children, young people, adults, and people with disabilities should have the opportunity to experience, discover, and understand nature with all their senses.
