Hiking with breathtaking views – that's what numerous hiking trails and cycling routes around Eckenhagen and Hespert promise, leading up to the village of Blockhaus, situated at an altitude of approximately 500 meters. Examples include the 8th stage of the Bergisches Panorama Trail, the many circular hiking trails in the Silberkuhle and Puhlbruch hiking area, and the "Tour de Eckenhagen" and "Tour de Reichshof" of the Schwalbe Bicycle Park. This diverse hiking area features deep forests, charming valley meadows, juniper heaths, and quaint villages where you'll find pristine native flora and fauna. Reichshof's restaurants in the surrounding villages or directly at Blockhaus (Panoramahütte am Blockhaus) offer traditional Bergisches Land cuisine. On clear days, you can enjoy views stretching as far as the Siebengebirge hills and the Eifel region (facing southwest).

In winter, winter sports enthusiasts can enjoy everything from toboggan runs to long-distance cross-country ski trails. The Blockhaus-Belmicke cross-country skiing area offers a wide range of options for almost every skill level. The trail in the village of Blockhaus is ideal for beginners, while the 15 km long long-distance trail presents a real challenge for experienced skiers with good stamina. Each of the marked trails offers wonderful views and vistas across the surrounding Oberberg region. For those who prefer a faster pace, the downhill slopes with drag lifts, all approximately 200 meters long, in Blockhaus and Hahn are well catered for.
