Müngsten Bridge Park and Müngsten Bridge
For more than 125 years, Germany's highest railway bridge has spanned the Wupper Valley. And despite its height of 107 meters and its length of almost 500 meters, it doesn't appear bulky at all. Rather, it seems delicate and lightly floating. An impressive sight and a great photo opportunity!
The bridge park – mysteriously beautiful
Not high up, but right around you, amidst expansive lawns and shady trees, a wealth of activities await. The play and activity trail, complete with a curved slide, climbing net, and rope ladder, is perfect for young and old alike. The Müngsten Riddle combines art and culture. Ten riddles are presented on a steel platform, and you must find the answers within the park.
Not going over the Wupper, but floating
Fancy a real adventure? Then don't miss this unique transporter bridge! It will carry you and your family 64 meters across the Wupper River to the other side. But you'll have to put in some effort, because it works like a handcar, only powered by muscle. But don't worry: the ferryman will be there to help!
Haus Müngsten – the perfect place for a relaxing break
Snack bar, bistro and restaurant with beautiful terraces right on the Wupper River: Relaxation is guaranteed at Haus Müngsten. Always included is the magnificent view of the Müngsten Bridge, which is also reflected in the huge glass panes of the modern industrial design building.
Tip: The best place to start your trip to Brückenpark is at Haus Müngsten. Here you'll find all the important information to help you find your way around.
