Theatre, concerts, events and markets in the building designed by Gottfried Böhm.
Around 1850, the Kolter Inn was built as the predecessor of the Bergischer Löwe. In 1903, after being acquired by the casino company, the inn was remodeled and expanded. The Mariensaal (Mary's Hall) was built in 1904.
In 1939, the Bergische Löwe became the property of the city of Bergisch Gladbach and was converted into a cinema and theater hall in 1945, and into a modern stage house in 1952.
The Mariensaal was demolished in 1977 and a new community center was built, which opened in 1980. Old parts of the building were incorporated into the new structure.
Today, the fossil collection on display there is particularly worth seeing.

The Bergische Löwe is a venue for numerous artists and theatrical performances, and is also used as a location for trade fairs and exhibitions. It also houses a ticket office for many events.
