The former castle complex from the 12th century is now home to the Burg Overbach Golf Club.

The origins of the Overbach manor date back to the early 12th century. The former castle complex was founded in 1131 by Junker Eberhard von Afferath and is one of the oldest manors established in the Oberberg region during the Hohenstaufen era. It was a moated castle. The main building was heavily damaged at the end of the 16th century and rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century. Only the main building remains today. The moats have been partially filled in.

The Burg Overbach Golf Club has owned the property since 1984. A very beautiful golf course (18-hole championship course) has been created. The golf club is committed to preserving the castle as a historical monument.

Separate opening hours apply to the Heuboden restaurant and the golf course.
