Zweiffel Castle
Zweiffel Castle, a knight's seat, was demonstrably the seat of the noble Strune family from the 13th/14th century. At the end of the 14th century, Zweiffel Castle passed to the Zweiffel family, who held estates throughout the Rhineland. For many years now, it has been owned by the Rademacher and Kautz families.
The current building dates back to around 1660. A devastating fire in 1942, during the war, destroyed the castle. It was completely rebuilt in 1978.
