Hellenthal Castle

The castle is a legendary structure with a High Medieval predecessor. It was first mentioned in the late 13th century. According to legend, the Knight of Hellenthal joined Emperor Barbarossa on a crusade. The current building dates from the 15th/16th century and is privately owned.
