Steam train rides with the "Bergischer Löwe"
You have the option of combining a visit to the railway museum with a ride on the Bergischer Löwe (Bergisch Lion) train by boarding directly at the museum. Alternatively, you can transfer to the Bergischer Löwe at the DB (German Rail) platform in Dieringhausen.
The route into the idyllic Wiehl Valley begins in Osberghausen. The journey follows the Wiehl River through forests and meadows, past old stone crushers and historic industrial sites. The connection between transported goods and transport route, still visible today, has led to the protected status of the Wiehl Valley Railway and its structures.
Be inspired by what the Bergisches Land Nature Park has to offer!
The journey itself can be the destination, or it can be the occasional stop along the way with its excursion opportunities.
