The collection began with Johann Fischer, an angel collector from Kürten-Engeldorf. Not far from Engelskirchen, he amassed a large collection of various angel figurines. Over the years, he accumulated approximately 15.000 different angels. The collection is officially listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest angel collection. Now you can view and admire the angels in Engelskirchen.
Besides the collection of different angels from various eras, the Angel Museum also sells the famous Engelskirchen light angels in different versions.
