Fine products from the beer village of Bielstein

The only brewery in the Bergisches Land region is the Erzquell Brewery from Bielstein. Both Zunft Kölsch and Erzquell Pils come from its copper kettles.

In 1900, Ernst Kind saw his future more in brewing than in the spinning mill he had been running and founded the Adler Brewery in Wiehl-Bielstein. Thanks to his craftsmanship and business acumen, the brewery gained an excellent reputation, and sales of its beers grew steadily in the ever-expanding market. In 1976, the name was changed to Erzquell Brewery. The ownership structure remains unchanged; the brewery is now in its fourth generation of family ownership. The gleaming copper kettles have become almost a landmark of Bielstein, the beer village.

A guided tour of the Erzquell Brewery, taking in all stages of production from the brewhouse to bottling, is of course possible. Afterwards, the cozy brewery taproom invites you to enjoy a light snack and beer tasting.
For those who want to delve even deeper, a "beer connoisseur seminar" can be booked. During these evening tours, a master brewer initiates visitors into the secrets of brewing and awards official "beer connoisseur diplomas."
