The chapel is 6 square meters in size and 3,20 meters high. It is located at the northern edge of Much, on the border of the Burg Overbach golf course. Just a few meters away are a parking lot, a large barbecue hut, and a playground.
The overhanging roof has a four-sided bell tower with an iron cross. In the apse, the red brick votive altar stands on a stone step. The white marble plaque on the front bears the inscription: "To the Blessed Virgin Mary, in thanksgiving for the miraculous rescue of our village from the great hardships of the front. This chapel was erected in April 1945." Even during the war, Elisabeth Wirges, who had already lost two sons, had vowed that if the other men serving at the front returned home safely, she would dedicate a chapel to Our Lady of Fatima. After 1945, many residents of Much joined in this endeavor, and the chapel was consecrated in 1954.
