The small business has existed since 2001 and is somewhat hidden away, below the "golden village" of Thier, in the Bergisches Land region, about 8 km from Wipperfürth, the oldest town in the Oberbergisches Land. The idea for the nursery arose from a passion for collecting and propagating alpine plants, dwarf shrubs, and rare varieties that are hardly available elsewhere.
