Ohler Wiesen recreation area

A gem in the immediate vicinity of Wipperfürth's town center is the Ohler Wiesen recreation area, which you can reach from Lüdenscheider Straße. It's a small city park. Many parents accompany their young children to the lively playground, and it's not just fathers who attend the home games of Wipperfürth's largest football club on Sundays at the grass sports field. Many older people simply enjoy a stroll along the well-maintained paths lined with greenery and flowers. To the east, there's also an equestrian center with an indoor riding arena.
The facility is also a suitable starting point for a bike tour on the cycle path "Water Quintet", which runs for approximately 80 km along five reservoirs and is a beautiful rest stop for your bike tour on the "Bergischer Panoramaradweg".

The Hanseatic city of Wipperfürth is a city surrounded by greenery. You will notice this especially when you let your gaze wander over the city from one of the numerous hills around the city center – quite apart from the beautiful landscape with its high proportion of agricultural and forested areas.
