Branch Church of the Holy Spirit

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Nümbrecht is a branch church of the parish of St. Michael in Waldbröl. It was solemnly consecrated in 1976 by the then Archbishop Josef Cardinal Höffner. The reason for the new building was the increasing number of Catholics in Nümbrecht. Initially, Nümbrecht was planned as an independent parish. However, the growing shortage of priests led the archdiocese to abandon these plans. In 1984, the church's roof structure burned down during repair work. A year later, the renovated church was reconsecrated.

The church is designed externally as a central building with a towering tent roof.
