Catholic Church - St. Martinus

Church
The Catholic parish church of St. Martinus, together with the half-timbered houses, forms a listed historical ensemble.
The beautiful salmon-colored building, including the tower and nave, dates back to the 12th century. The Gothic chancel was added in the 15th century. The church has remained Catholic despite fierce attacks from the neighboring Lutheran and Calvinist communities.

The church contains the skull relic of Saint Theodore, a Romanesque baptismal font and a 13th-century bell, a Gothic tabernacle and a monumental crucifix dating from around 1270.
