Kirchdorf Ohl-Klaswipper

Historical city center
Ohl-Klaswipper is a small suburb of Wipperfürth.
Not far from the town center lies the 406-meter-high Wahlberg, the highest point in Wipperfürth. Almost as high, at 395 meters, is the Klüppelberg, after which the former municipality, incorporated into Wipperfürth in 1975, was named. The Protestant church in Klaswipper was built between 1834 and 1837 in the Neoclassical style. A notable feature is the richly decorated pulpit altar. The church can be visited by appointment.

Here, near the border with the municipality of Marienheide, the Wupper River flows through the town of Wipperfürth for the first time. From its source until just before the town center, the Wupper is still called the Wipper; only after entering Wipperfürth does its name change to Wupper.

In Ohl, in the so-called Villa Ohl, a 200-year-old house, there is a Black Powder Museum accommodated.
