Eckenhagen Spa Park

park/garden area
The newly designed Eckenhagen spa park, adjacent to the MediClin clinic, is a place of tranquility.
Patients, relatives, and tourists alike will find a place to relax and unwind. The approximately 1,5-hectare park connects the hospital grounds with the center of Eckenhagen and is easily accessible for people with disabilities. The open meadows and flowerbeds offer a beautiful view of the large wetland biotope within the park; ample seating options, including woodland sofas, benches, and rock formations, invite visitors to linger.

The park, originally created in 1982/1983, was modernized in 2019/2020 and now shines in renewed splendor. A highlight is the newly installed fountain, which provides refreshing relief during the warmer months. Adjacent to it is the new children's playground, finally offering the younger generation a place to play and have fun. The result is a perfect symbiosis between young and old. The use of the public garden by multiple generations is expressly encouraged and by no means mutually exclusive.

Community celebrations can be held at the renovated bandstand. In particular, the regularly held spa concerts take place here in the open air.

Furthermore, the park of the health resort incorporates health-related aspects. A Kneipp water treading basin has been filled and a barefoot path laid out. Both promote health and stimulate the senses in a positive way.

The spa park is intended to be a meeting point for patients, residents, and visitors, and is also the starting and ending point of several therapeutic climate hiking trails that lead around the town through wooded areas and meadows of varying difficulty.
