Fairytale Forest Altenberg
For the safety of our guests, the park may remain closed due to adverse weather conditions. Should this occur, you will be informed daily on the Märchenwald Facebook page.
The adjacent Fairytale Forest Restaurant offers a feast for all the senses. Another attraction in the Fairytale Forest Restaurant is the "Dancing Fountains," a water organ where brightly illuminated water figures move as if by magic to classical music. You can find the current show times for the water features at the restaurant.

The path through the forest is gravelled and paved. Children in wheelchairs can only manage the incline with parental assistance, as it is quite steep in places. Where there are steps, there are also ramps that can be used. Seating is available. The fairy tales are told to the children at the touch of a button, so even blind children can experience the forest.
