Parish Church of St. Nicholas of Tolentino and former Augustinian monastery

Church
A look inside the church's opulent baroque interior is well worth it!
When the municipality of Volberg became Lutheran in the 16th century, the Catholics living there, who until then had no parish church of their own, were left with no option but to go to Altenrath.
But then the Catholic noble families brought Augustinian monks to Rösrath, who built a monastery and a church at the end of the 17th century.
