Eulenbroich Castle
Eulenbroich Castle was built around 1200 as a moated castle and is located in the Sülz river valley, very close to the center of Rösrath. Over the centuries, the building has served many different purposes: as a grand bourgeois villa, as the mayor's residence, and as a retirement home. Parts of the building have been repeatedly extended or remodeled. In 1981, the city of Rösrath acquired the property and undertook extensive renovations before opening it to the public in 1984. Until 2002, Eulenbroich Castle remained under the management of the municipality of Rösrath. Since 2003, the Eulenbroich Castle Cultural Association (Kulturverein Schloss Eulenbroich e.V.) has managed and operated the castle under a management agreement. The association gives the building the somewhat historically inaccurate name "Eulenbroich Castle."
Today, Eulenbroich Castle is open to the general public. Whether concerts, corporate events, markets, seminars, conferences, weddings, communion celebrations, or birthdays – Eulenbroich Castle offers a beautiful setting for many events. Here you will find an overview of the events.
