Gimborn Castle

Castle/Palace/Manor House
Gimborn Castle is idyllically situated in a green setting. Exterior viewing is possible at any time.
The castle is situated in a side valley of the Leppe River between Lindlar and Marienheide. The surrounding area is ideal for hiking and walking.
It has housed an information and education center since 1969. The sponsoring organization is the International Police Association, a worldwide association of police officers.
If the castle's capacity is not fully booked with its own events, the rooms can be rented for seminars and educational events. Private individuals are also welcome. Dates and costs will be provided upon request.
The proverbial Gimborn atmosphere is a defining characteristic of all IBZ events. The ancient walls of the castle, privately owned by Baron Peter von Fürstenberg, the idyllic ensemble of church, school, manor, castle hotel and castle of the 28-soul village of Gimborn, as well as the scenic location in the wooded Bergisches Land region, exert an irresistible charm on every visitor: a refuge rarely found these days from the inhospitable hustle and bustle of big cities and the physical and mental strain of daily work.
