The new home of the VFL Gummersbach handball team since 2013.

Established in the summer of 2013 and located in the heart of Gummersbach, the Schwalbe Arena is a special venue for special events. A new building on the Steinmüller site, the Schwalbe Arena was designed and built right next to the listed Hall 32, accommodating 4.000 handball fans. Adaptability is a key concept that the architects and designers embraced down to the smallest detail. Modernity is equally important. As a multifunctional hall, it can be divided into up to four separate units and serves both the physical education classes of several local schools and the training facilities of the first-division handball team VfL Gummersbach.
