Sensory Forest

park/garden area
The Sensory Forest is an idyllic park with interesting sculptures in the Murbach Valley near Leichlingen.
Far from the noise of traffic, the initiators Wicze Braun and Wolfgang Brudes created a natural history museum on the grounds of a historic spinning mill. Primarily artists from the region present their sculptures here.

Since 1993, annual exhibitions with different themes have been held, as well as an increasing number of other cultural events.

Around an old mill pond, on winding paths in quarries and in the forest, and along the stream, there are art objects by over 50 artists to discover: imaginative works made of wood, stone, metal, etc.

The sculptures reflect the unique character of this place, entice visitors onto unusual walking paths, and offer a surprising experience of art and nature. The basic idea is to reawaken all the senses.

Anyone who wants to can write down their impressions and put them in the mailbox at the entrance to the property.

Admission is free, donations for the upkeep of the facility are requested; for this, there is a "thank you stone" at the weir.

Sturdy shoes are recommended!
