Birdwatching station and reservoir

In the Leiersmühle nature reserve at the Wipperfürth reservoir, you'll find the Wupper Balcony overlooking a weir and the adjacent birdwatching station. The water of the approximately 33.000 m² reservoir was formerly used for energy production and cooling.
There is a signpost to the birdwatching station along the railway line. From there, you go through the gate and over the bridge of the weir.
