Juniper area in Reichshof-Branscheid

Nature reserves/biotopes/geotopes
Near Branscheid, one of the three juniper areas of Reichshof is still located today.
They have become rare in North Rhine-Westphalia. However, in the municipality of Reichshof, hikers can admire the juniper heaths near Wildberg, Hespert and Eckenhagen.
The nature reserves are marked on the hiking map and can be explored on marked paths along the juniper heaths.
Several times a year, the Oberberg Biological Station offers guided hikes to the juniper heath. Dates can be found in the brochure "Guided Hikes and Bike Tours" published by the Reichshof Tourist Information Office.
On a hike along the "Juniper Trail" No. 12 of the Bergisches Wanderland, you will also learn interesting facts about the topic along the way.
