Blockhaus-Belmicke winter sports area
Nestled amidst white hills and snow-covered forests lies the Blockhaus-Belmicke winter sports area. Not far from the major cities along the Rhine and Ruhr rivers, it offers winter sports enthusiasts everything from toboggan runs to cross-country ski trails.
The Blockhaus-Belmicke cross-country skiing area offers a wide range of options for almost every ability level. The trail in the village of Blockhaus is suitable for beginners, while the 15 km long long-distance trail is a real challenge for experienced skiers with good stamina. This trail stretches from Reichshof Hahn to the adjacent Belmicke winter sports area.
Each of the designated cross-country ski trails has something special about it, and all offer wonderful views and vistas over the surrounding Oberberg region.
Those who prefer a faster pace will find excellent skiing options at the two downhill slopes with drag lifts, each approximately 200 meters long, in Blockhaus and Hahn.
At many stations, winter sports enthusiasts are provided with drinks and small snacks.
The staff of the Reichshof spa and tourist information office and the Bergneustadt local history museum are happy to help with planning a day trip or a short break.

Please follow the signs for the Blockhaus ski area from the motorway towards Hespert/Tillkausen. On weekends, a one-way road is in place from Tillkausen via Blockhaus to Eckenhagen, so access via Eckenhagen is not possible.
